We’re back again with this new RC4 version. Since the last RC3 release, we received many patches and fixes, and also backported some important features like ATI graphics device injection, EFI64 tables and PCI root configuration. Also added a new boot option for hiding unwanted foreign partitions from the boot menu.
Hide Partition
Using this option you can enumerate all your partitions what you would like to remove from the boot menu, the syntax is similar to the Default Partition option but here you can specify many volumes in your com.apple.Boot.plist:
PciRoot
This is a similar option what you can find in PC_EFI, but we’re doing this a bit different: The default value is still 0 but you can set to any arbitrary value.
FakeSMC v2.5
O Netkas χτύπησε πάλι με την νεότερη έκδοση του FakeSMC. Μπορείτε να το κατεβάσετε απο την σελίδα του μαζί με τα sources τόσο για Leopard & Snow Leopard.

- Reworked 3rd party patch for reading cpu temps, now kext does it on demand, not in loop. You can use Istat to monitor cpu temps, default tjmax value is 100, you can adjust it Info.plist, works only for intel’s core 2/core i7.
- Added debug option to plist, possible values – true/false, if debug is “false”, you will not see messages – “key not found”, by default debug is enabled. Version for noobs: edit Info.plist, change debug to false, to get rid of these messages – FakeSMC: key info not found
Fixed a small glitch with “compatible” string.

OSX86 & Boot Camp
Τι άλλο να ζητήσει κανείς από το OSX86?
It only works on GUID Partition Scheme (if you have used MBR , it would not work) It will erase your 200MB Hidden EFI partition (so you’ll have to back up your patched kext , dsdt and stuff like that) Its either a hit or miss (sometimes it can work) There is a chance of making your Macintosh HD corrupt (there is a chance)
Just to let you know that Boot Camp software is just a “front end” for Disk Utility to make it easier for you to partition your drive so that you can install windows. Anyhow lets get started. I’ve already warned that once you start playing with this there is a chance that it will mess your boot loader , so make sure you do know how to recover.

Automatic detection of pci root uid value(for GraphicsEnabler and ethernetbuiltin options) based on parsing DSDT.aml file (if you dont use custom DSDT.aml, you will need to use -pci1 flag in case you have uid=1) . If booter fails to detect it or you dont have _UID property in pci root(in dsdt) then UID=0 used by default, but, if you have UID=1 and booter fails to detect it, use -pci1 boot flag. Uid detection works really well in most cases. Added aserebln’s patch for better cpu type detection, for example I dont need to add SMcputype key anymore Better handling of pci slot names if nvidia card present
What is Project marklar
In April 2002, eWeek reported a rumor that Apple had a version of Mac OS X running on x86 processors, code-named Marklar. The idea behind Marklar was to keep Mac OS X running on an alternate platform should Apple become unsatisfied with the progress of the PowerPC platform.After pre-release x86-based Macs were released to developers, a copy of the x86-based version of Mac OS X was leaked onto the Internet, and hackers managed to get it to run on non-Apple x86-based PCs.
